2018 Clubhouse: Texas Rangers

136. Elvis Andrus

137. Adrián Beltré

138. Joey Gallo

139. Cole Hamels

140. Nomar Mazara

After Hamels hit the highway, it opened up a spot for surprise ace(ish) Mike Minor. Or maybe Shin-Soo Choo gets the spot after his resurgence. And hell, even Rougned Odor seems to be having a Renaissance of his own. Lots of possibilities.

Beltré doesn't sign much these days but since he's basically a HOFer, I couldn't resist. Let us cherish him as much as we can. Oh, and Joey Gallo is the other signer.

The red is probably a little too close to the Rangers red. It's shininess would help set it off IRL though.

2017 PENNANT BOX BREAK - PACK 19

148. Javier Baez

269. Corey Seager

111. Miguel Sano

167. Cole Hamels

123. Kenta Maeda

273. Jose Ramirez

150. Mookie Betts

67. Zack Greinke

153. Buster Posey

TB9. Nelson Cruz - Throwbacks

This is a pretty stacked pack as far as base cards go. Not a single “dud” included. Even the “lesser” names like Hamels and Maeda are pretty collectable.

2014 Spirit Base Series 1: 111-120

#111 - Cole Hamels
Not the most exciting image but I like that he's wearing a blue cap and this isn't a pitcher pose I've used yet.

#112 - Jordy Mercer
A nice simple shot of Mercer taking a groundball. I like that the background isn't busy at all so you can focus on Jordy here.

#113 - Trevor Rosenthal
A lot of Rosenthal's photos were of him coming off the field after closing a game so I guess he's the closer now. This one had a nice selective focus and he doesn't look super obnoxious. A winner in my book.

#114 - Huston Street
The slightly elevated angle is different from anything else I've used. Plus the blue jersey didn't have to be altered much to match my color scheme.

#115 - Matt Cain
How could I pass up the opportunity to show Matt Cain getting a standing ovation while trotting onto the field to accept his World Series ring? Oh yeah, he's wearing the gold SF jersey and hat as well. After his 2013, I need 2012 reminders as much as possible.

#116 - Dustin Ackley
After an up-and-down year, I wonder what 2014 has in store for Ackley now that Robinson Cano has (probably) taken over as the the starting secondbaseman.

#117 - James Loney
I'm pretty sure Loney played more DH than first base last year but I had a hell of a time finding good batting shots and an embarrassment of riches capturing his field work.

#118 - Alex Rios
Rios is still somewhat of a new face to Rangers' fans so I thought having a nice smiling pic on his base card would be a good way to get familiar.

#119 - Edwin Encarnacion
After his last two seasons, it really is a shame how anonymous Encarnacion is in the U.S.

#120 - Denard Span
Luckily there was enough space to show the ball coming down and all of Span's body sliding into the grass. A lot of times I have to sacrifice one or the other.

Spirit Deluxe Autos

Following the Members Only post, I looked back and tallied up all the cards I've done so far and realized I've really loaded up the Spirit flagship and neglected Clubhouse and Deluxe. That brings us to the first inserts from the Deluxe set, Deluxe Autos.

The design on these is very simple but goes along with the Deluxe base. We've got the team-color knit fading into the player photograph. The horizontal orientation lends itself to a bigger autograph, with the team logo below. The player name is in a nice silver foil-stamped serif font above with position/team below the signature, which would be on-card and not stickers.

On the back is more of the team-color swatch along with a more intimate player photo. These would be considered the 'base' autos for the set with future inserts being dual autos or auto/relic combos. The 30 cards in the set would be made up of one player from each team.
