2018 Clubhouse: Pittsburgh Pirates

106. Josh Bell

107. Josh Harrison

108. Starling Marté

109. Gregory Polanco

110. Felipe Vázquez

The Pirates have 5 core guys here. Trevor Williams will probably make next year's cut, along with Jameson Taillon.

Josh Bell and Gregory Polanco are the signers. Bell has a really inconsistent signature from all the auto cards I looked at. This one seems to be a good control auto.

The blue parallels look good with the Pirates' gold.

2018 Spirit: NL Central

#227. Willson Contreras, Chicago Cubs

#119. Jose Peraza, Cincinnati Reds

#18. Corey Knebel, Milwaukee Brewers

#69. Gregory Polanco, Pittsburgh Pirates

#123. Carlos Martinez, St. Louis Cardinals

The Reds and Cardinals cards look a little off since their team names are literally associated with the color red but the bigger flag on each is non-red. The Cardinals one isn't as weird since they actually use the navy here and there. But for the Reds, black isn't really an accent color so much as just an extra color. No real alternative there.

284. Lorenzo Cain

105. Ryan Buchter

18. Jesse Hahn

41. Gregory Polanco

21. Matt Moore

210. Johnny Cueto

230. Mark Trumbo

8. Kelvin Herrera

TB15R. Kolten Wong - Throwback Relic

I always like doing the Throwbacks relic cards with the throwback jerseys. They’re a little more unique than regular old relic cards using the odd colors like powder blue here.

2014 Spirit Base: 706-720

#706 - Zach Duke, #707 - Caleb Thielbar, #708 - Daisuke Matsuzaka
It's nice to see Dice-K still kicking around in the league.

#709 - Dellin Betances, #710 - Jesse Chavez, #711 - Reid Brignac
Thoughts on the Jesse Chavez pic? I like that it's different but I could see somebody thinking it's just too odd.

#712 - Gregory Polanco, #713 - Seth Maness, #714 - Rymer Liriano
Polanco and Liriano's pics are pretty similar, along with them both being rookie rightfielders.

#715 - Jake Peavy, #716 - Chris Denorfia, #717 - Grant Balfour
That's actually Peavy's follow-through and not a celebratory fist pump. The Denorfia photo is the only viable one I could find with him in a Mariner's uniform. Luckily it's excellent.

#718 -Adam Rosales, #719 - Danny Valencia, #720 - Nate Schierholtz
The Schierholtz broken bat shot is actually from this year's playoffs but I airbrushed the postseason patch off his sleeve. We'll just ignore the fact that in the real world, these cards would've been printed by the time this photo would've been taken...
